Hulu – the company co-owned by The Walt Disney Company, 21st Century Fox, Comcast, and Time Warner – has announced a new streaming package of more than 50 channels at a cost of $39.99 per month. The package will include local channels from ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX, as well as ESPN, The Disney Channel, CNN, Fox News, TBS, and TNT.
In recent years, the price of cable and satellite television has risen out of reach of many middle-class families in the United States as the price has risen to about $100 and grown far in excess of inflation.
Hulu was founded about ten years ago as a reaction to Netflix by entertainment content owners.
